ALMOND MILK CHAI LATTE

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 tablespoons black tea

  • 1-2 whole cloves

  • 2 cardamom pods

  • 1 star anise (or other aromatic spice)

  • 1 whole cinnamon stick

  • ½ nutmeg 

  • 1/3 thumb ginger or ¼ tsp ginger powder

  • ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract, or 1/2-inch piece of vanilla bean

  • ¼ tsp all spice

  • 1 tablespoon natural sugar or honey, maple syrup

  • 2 cup hot almond milk

METHOD
  • Put the tea, spices and milk in saucepan. Bring to a light simmer for 4-5 minutes.

  • Strain the tea into 2 cups with eiher a muslin clothe or tea strainer.

  • Stir in the sweetener of your choice to taste and serve.
